Uncle Nearest 1856 is a premium aged Tennessee whiskey — made with local Tennessee ingredients and crafted by hand in the tradition of Nathan "Nearest" Green, the formerly enslaved master distiller who taught Jack Daniel.
Uncle Nearest 1856 honors Nathan "Nearest" Green, recognized as the first known African American master distiller and the man who taught Jack Daniel the craft. The whiskey is made the way Nearest made it — intricately by hand, with local Tennessee ingredients, barreled close to 110 proof and poured out at just the right age, taste, and color for a smooth finish.
It is well suited to sipping neat or over a single cube, and stands up in a classic whiskey cocktail.
