One of bourbon’s most distinctive qualities comes from the limestone water that brought bourbon to popularity in the 1800s. The name, Town Branch, commemorates the body of water that currently runs under Lexington, on which Lexington was founded. The bourbon is aged in new, charred white oak barrels.
Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. is the producer of award-winning beer and spirits and the only brewery and distillery on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Since its founding in 1999 by Irish entrepreneur Dr. Pearse Lyons, its Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and Town Branch Bourbon have grown to become the flagships, capitalizing on the proximity to fresh Kentucky bourbon barrels.
