• Blanco tequila produced in El Arenal, Jalisco, by Cascahuín (NOM 1123) • Maestro Tequilero Salvador Rosales Torres • 100% Blue Weber (Agave tequilana) • Steam roasted for 72 hours in a brick kiln oven • Crushed using a small, hand-operated roller mill • Fermented 96 hours in brick and concrete tanks • Distilled twice using a stainless steel pot still with a copper coil • Rested for 4 weeks in a 5-ton concrete egg vessel • Elegant aromas of buttercup and yellow flowers, wafer cookies, strawberry hard candy, sweet potato, and a forest brook lean into a bright palate with bold notes of eucalyptus, lemon zest, resin, sweet herbs, and a subtle wave of ocean air on the finish • Additive free • 45% ABV The Cascahuín distillery is capable of crafting a mind-boggling number of tequila marques by calibrating a variety of production methods including milling, cooking, fermenting, and distilling; this marque was specifically selected by John and Lucie Melvin with the Rosales family for Montagave tequila. Originally chosen for its harmony with French oak and red wine, Montagave now offers this expression completely unaged in oak, but rather rested in a concrete egg to best preserve its character.
