Tanqueray has operated from Cameronbridge in Scotland since Charles Tanqueray founded the London distillery in 1830 — a tradition of distilling expertise that Sterling carries into the vodka category. The 220-year-old copper pot still (the same still family used for the Tanqueray gin program) produces a different character than the high-efficiency column stills used for most premium vodkas — more textured, with a subtle complexity that clean neutral-spirit vodkas don't achieve.
