Peerless Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey | ~54.5% ABV (~109 Proof) | 750 mL

Process & Profile

Peerless Small Batch is crafted entirely in-house at Kentucky Peerless Distilling in Louisville. Distilled from a sweet mash and non-chill filtered, it’s bottled at barrel proof (around 107–111 % ABV depending on batch) making it a high-proof, expression of their own grains-to-bottle process.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Bright citrus zest, honeysuckle, cedar, caramel, chocolate-covered cherry, and toasted pecans

  • Palate: Sweet oak, brown sugar, cinnamon spice, dry cocoa, leather, tobacco, pine, and forest floor earthiness

  • Finish: Medium-long, spicy and nutty with lingering tobacco, oak polish, cinnamon, honey, and fruit notes

What Makes It Special

  • Crafted grain-to-bottle in-house: sweet mash, barrel-proof, non-chill filtered

  • Bottled at a robust proof (~109), delivering full flavor intensity

  • Aged around 4 years; reviewers note it drinks older

  • Awarded a Gold Medal (90 points) at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

  • Limited small-batch runs that excite enthusiasts and collectors

How to Enjoy

Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to soften high proof and reveal deeper flavors. Also shines in bold cocktails like a high-proof Old Fashioned or Boulevardier.
