108.9 proof. Batch #1. Old Carter Bourbon Whiskey — the founding batch of the Old Carter Kentucky bourbon program, and at 108.9 proof, the most approachable expression in the current Wooden Cork Old Carter collection.
Old Carter Batch #1 at 108.9 proof is the most accessible proof point in the Old Carter bourbon lineup — substantially lower than the subsequent Kentucky batches (2-KY and 3-KY) and well below the 12 Year Single Barrel #1 (134.9 proof). The founding Batch #1 established the Old Carter bourbon program before the higher-proof KY-series batches and the single barrel apex expressions followed.
