The
Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua No. 2is a highly-rated, full-bodied, box-pressed torpedo cigar known for its rich and complex flavor profile.
Profile and Flavor
Crafted entirely from Nicaraguan tobaccos by master blender A.J. Fernandez, this cigar was made to emulate the flavor profile of the original 1935 Cuban Montecristos. It has received high praise, including being named the #2 Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado in 2021.
- Flavor Profile: The No. 2 offers a rich tapestry of flavors, including notes of dark chocolate, espresso, leather, and earthy spices, complemented by hints of caramel sweetness, black pepper, cinnamon, and oak.
- Body and Strength: It is a full-bodied and full-strength smoke, which may be intense for some smokers.
- Construction: Reviewers consistently praise its flawless construction, smooth draw, and even burn, with a dark and oily wrapper.
