Little Book® Chapter 8 "Path Not Taken" is a special release in Freddie Noe's acclaimed annual series, celebrating his decision to honor the Beam family’s bourbon legacy while crafting innovative blends. This chapter pushes the boundaries of traditional whiskey with a masterful combination of aged spirits. The blend features:
- 18-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon (High Rye) for bold spice and oak.
- 11-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye, adding depth and complexity.
- 7-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye Malt for a smooth, fruity layer.
- 5-year-old Kentucky and Pennsylvania Straight Rye for diverse oak and sweetness.
- 4-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye for vibrant spice.
The tasting experience reveals a deep copper hue, with aromas of butterscotch, toasted rye, and citrus. The palate unfolds with floral notes, apricot, and gingerbread, finishing with a peppery, cinnamon-spiced linger. A tribute to blending and craftsmanship, "Path Not Taken" exemplifies Freddie’s passion for pushing the boundaries of whiskey.
