Gaja Conteisa Barolo 2014 (750 ml)

This Conteisa is aromatically layered with truffle, tea leaf, violets, lavender, blueberry skin, citrus peel and sour cherry. The palate combines full-bodied intensity with ultra-fine tannins, vivid acidity and a long mineral finish. Its clarity and precision give the wine exceptional lift despite its depth.

The reduced 2014 crop produced an unusually concentrated Conteisa with crisp definition and impressive structure. Perfumed wild-cherry aromas lead into a dark, substantial palate framed by full, firm tannins. The result is a powerful yet finely detailed expression of the Cerequio site.

Underbrush, dark berries, new leather and a touch of camphor shape the aromatic profile. Marasca cherry, raspberry, star anise and cinnamon unfold across a taut, sculpted palate. Polished fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity keep the wine balanced and energetic.
