Description: Firestone 2023 Parabola Imperial Stout is a rich and complex beer that exemplifies the art of barrel aging. This limited edition stout is brewed by the Firestone Walker Brewing Company, a highly regarded craft brewery located on the central coast of California.
At its core, Parabola is a massive imperial stout, featuring a dark and robust malt profile that offers notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted barley. However, what sets Parabola apart is its aging process, which involves spending up to 18 months in a variety of oak barrels. These barrels, which previously held bourbon, rye, and wine, impart their own unique flavors and aromas into the beer, adding layers of complexity and depth.
The 2023 vintage of Parabola is expected to be particularly exceptional, with early tasting notes indicating a rich and full-bodied beer with flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, and toasted oak. It boasts an ABV of around 13%, making it a potent brew that should be sipped and savored.
