Cocchi Americano, a distinguished aromatized wine crafted in 1891 by Giulio Cocchi, has been faithfully produced without interruption, following the original recipe. Its name, "Americano," reflects the infusion of herbs and spices that imbue the alcohol with bitterness, and pays homage to the American tradition of enjoying vermouth with ice and soda.
Crafted according to Giulio Cocchi's authentic recipe, Cocchi Americano stands as the quintessential aperitif in Asti—a cherished piece of our town's history. Its label proudly features the original futurist rooster, a design from the 1930s symbolizing its role in awakening the appetite, alongside being an emblem of Asti.
Throughout its rich history, Cocchi has introduced various versions of its Aperitivo Americano. Among them is Cocchi Rosa, a recent addition crafted with a base of Piedmont red wines infused with extracts of herbs and spices, including gentian, cinchona, citrus zests, and delicate rose petals.
