Description: Introducing Clonakilty Double Oak Finish Irish Whiskey, a superb expression from the renowned Clonakilty Distillery that showcases the unique and innovative approach to whiskey-making that has become synonymous with the brand. This exceptional Irish whiskey is crafted using a blend of single grain and malt whiskies, carefully selected for their quality and character, and finished in two different oak casks to enhance its complexity, depth, and richness.
The Clonakilty Double Oak Finish Irish Whiskey begins its maturation in ex-bourbon barrels, where it develops a smooth and mellow base with notes of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak. It is then transferred to virgin American oak barrels for a secondary maturation period, which imparts additional layers of flavor and complexity, with hints of spice, dried fruits, and dark chocolate emerging on the palate. The result is a beautifully balanced and harmonious whiskey that boasts a rich and velvety texture, with each sip revealing new nuances and depth.
