Product Type: Whiskey
Size: 750mL
Proof: 118
Region: Texas
Description: As a symbol of our offering to the makers who came before us and whose inspiration roused us to seek a future all our own, Cataleja Texas Single Malt is one of the most complex and unique whiskies in our portfolio.
The Single Malt made with 100% Golden Promise Malted Barley was first aged in refill casks, then in a variety of decommissioned Sherry Solera puncheons: Moscatel, Amontillado Dulce, Oloroso, & Palo Cortado.
The word Cataleja is a loose translation of the English word spyglass. As we chart our course, we honor our elders by viewing the horizon through their lens, learning the lessons we need to chart our own course and ensuring the future of Texas whiskies and American Single Malts.
