Turn the volume up to 11 with Ardbeg Ardcore – Committee Release 2022, a riotous single malt distilled from heavily roasted “black” malt barley—a first for Ardbeg. Aged in classic ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at a punch-packing 50.1 % ABV, Ardcore cranks out leather-clad peat, bittersweet malt, and spiky confectionery sweetness that hits like a front-row guitar riff. Created “for the ard-core of Islay” and released exclusively to the Ardbeg Committee, this limited edition channels punk-rock attitude
Why We Think You’ll Love It:
-
Uses roasted black malt for a bold, bittersweet backbone that’s unlike any other Ardbeg.
-
Bottled for the Ardbeg Committee at a robust 50.1 % ABV, non-chill-filtered for full, gritty texture.
-
Marries classic Islay peat with punk-rock flavours of dark roast coffee, liquorice, and burnt sugar.
