• Wine-based aperitif produced by Veso in San Francisco, California • Botanicals include California-grown, organic-certified strawberry, Valencia orange peel, grapefruit peel, organic hibiscus flower, and dried Moroccan bitter orange peel • Base of locally sourced California white wine (variety and source may vary batch to batch) • Neutral grape spirit distilled in Alameda, California • Sweetened to 150 g/l using cane sugar • The interplay of strawberries and citrus give off aromas reminiscent of fresh sangria, preceding a juicy, vibrant palate that dials in notes of strawberry pie, grapefruit cordial, orange blossom honey, and Valencia orange zest • Naturally colored using hibiscus flowers • Beer and Wine License eligible • 18% ABV Each batch of Veso’s flagship aperitif is crafted by macerating thousands of pounds of fresh, thinly sliced strawberries in neutral grape spirit for three to four weeks. The strawberries are then filtered out and “washed” with local white wine, which is combined with the infused spirit. Separately, thousands of pounds of grapefruits and oranges are individually peeled and, along with dried bitter orange peels, undergo a three-to-four-week spirit maceration before being blended with the strawberry-infused fortified wine. Vivacious and refreshing, Solstice can be enjoyed over ice, with soda, or used in place of wine-based aperitivi like Cappelletti and sweet white vermouth, or as a lighter alternative to bitters such as Aperol.
