Abbazia Barbera d'Asti is the product of unique soils, climatic characteristics, and careful winemaking. This wine is well-aged with rich notes of berries, plum, and spices. Due to a careful winemaking process, Abbazia Barbera d'Asti carries beautiful tannins, a ruby red color, and phenolic compounds. On the palate, this wine is velvety with light acidity and a persistent aftertaste. Abbazia Barbera d'Asti is a red wine from Piemonte, Italy. Piedmont means "at the foot of the mountains." It gathers in a single embrace: the cool, dry air from the highest mountains in Europe and the hot and humid winds of the Mediterranean Sea from the south. Open Abbazia Barbera d'Asti one hour before tasting beside red meat, game, and aged cheeses.
