New Arrivals/Restock

Soft and juicy on the palate, this 2021 Hakea Merlot exhibits a complex nose of black cherry and dried herb aromas. Secondary notes of wildflowers and acacia flowers impart a lighter touch, while spiced hints of white pepper and tobacco complete a lingering, complex finish. The flavors of this 2021 vintage of Hakea Merlot flourished due to one of the best-growing seasons in recent years. The Australian Limestone Coast experienced an abnormally wet winter, perfect for the well-drained soils on the Hakea vineyards. Mild temperatures and sporadic rains ensured even ripening and supreme structure and elegance in every sip of this Australian red. If you’d like a culinary pairing for this layered Merlot, seek out jambalaya, smoked ham and chorizo, or blackened salmon and roast squash.
